Growing old is universal, it knows no gender, race or socioeconomic bounds. We are all getting older every moment of every day, yet our society has barraged us with the idea that to look old, grow old, to BE old is something to be avoided, at all costs. It has somehow seeped into every part of our lives without us even realizing it.
I'm here to remind us all that growing old cannot be avoided. Not only can it not be avoided, what if we chose to embrace it?
What if we prepared for it?
What if we honored our elders by being brave and initiating that uncomfortable conversation about their future, because while it will affect you and your family in ways you cannot imagine, ultimately, it’s not about you.
It’s about them.
